I made Our Family Album to give the people closest to us one private place for their photos and little updates. On iPhone Duo, that place needs to feel right when you check in on the cover screen and when you open the phone to spend more time with an album.
The iPhone Duo layout arrived in version 1.6.0. The short video shows the phone opening, and the screenshots below use an example family and sample photos.
A family feed with more room
On the inner display, the feed gives photos and family updates space without stretching everything across the screen. You can still move between Home, Albums, Family and Memories in a familiar way.
Albums make good use of the wider view too. You can take in more of a birthday, a trip or an ordinary afternoon before opening a photo for a closer look.
On the cover screen, a single photo can still fill the moment, with reactions and comments close by.
